North Carolina Digital Collections - GIS Data Collection

The GIS Data Collection consists of digital geospatial content including digitized maps showing federal land ownership, county boundaries, North Carolina senate and house districts, and more. The GIS Data collection spans the years 1947-2009, with the bulk of the items ranging from 1999-2009.

Historic Properties Map

The NC Historic Preservation Office’s interactive resource map is available from the GIS Maps and Data site.
"This service was created by the State Historic Preservation Office as an aid to planning and research. Site locations and boundaries are drawn from georeferenced scans of National Register and historic property survey maps supplemented with aerial photography, county tax parcel layers, and other sources."

Gaston County Interactive GIS

At the Gaston County Interactive GIS website, you can locate an online county property record by searching the Full Map Site of Gaston County, which shows boundary property lines.

You can select optional map layers including aerial photographs for different years.

Lincoln County Geographic Information System (GIS)

At the Lincoln County Geographic Information System (GIS) website, you can locate an online county property record, searching by owner name, parcel, address, road name, and state road number. Also search by deed or plat reference.

You can select optional map "Layers" on the left side. Select "Photography" in the upper right corner for aerial photographs from different years.
